Finger Knitting sample: Here is an example of the scarves the kids at Roche Harbor Resort made. The yarn they were given was Willow by Trendsetter. It is almost made for this type of knitting! It is so soft and fluffy! It also lays very well, and has great drape. As you can see, it can be tied as a scarf in various ways, as well as used as a belt, head band, or even a hair tie! So... here are directions on how to Finger Knit!! Have fun!! |
| 1) Start out with your two hands and a ball of yarn. | 2) Place the yarn over your palm with the long end between your index finger and your thumb. |

| 11, 12) Now, lay the yarn back over your finger tips again,
this time, the long end should be coming off your pinkie finger, and
leap-frog the loops over your finger tips.
Repeat these two steps until you reach your desired length for a scarf, boa, belt, or hair tie. |

| 13. When you reach a length you are satisfied with, take the end of your yarn and lace it through the loops on your fingers to cast off the knitting. | 14) When you are all done, weave in your ends, and wear your new creation! |
