Barry Klein will be showcasing his new fall line, both in yarns as well as sweaters and other fun items to knit and crochet with. Come and enjoy the new yarns listen to Barry talk about the upcoming trends fresh from Italy.

We here at Yarn Lady have received so many blessings that it is important to us to give to those less fortunate. We are thrilled to announce that Peggy Baxter of Stitches From the Heart will be in our store on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 4pm to sit and knit and crochet with you. This is a fun activity, a chance to made new friends and gives a purpose to those who have a passion for knitting and crocheting, but have run out of family members to give hats and scarves to. Stitches From the Heart accepts donations of items for any size baby from super preemies to big newborns and even toddlers. Peggy will bring with her "official" stitches, pattern booklets and info booklets for you to use. Bring your finished projects or your yarn and sit and knit or crochet with Peggy, starting July 26th.

Don't forget to sign up for Chris Bylsma's Workshops if you have not already done so! Classes are limited to twenty.

On a personal note:
Let's face it: dealing with the public isn't always easy. No matter how hard you try, there are sometimes situations where YOU say the wrong thing or the other person is using you as a verbal punching bag. How quickly are words said and how long it takes to erase them.

I try to communicate to our staff that our customers should be treated as they would be at Nordstrom's. (To which my husband quickly adds: "Yeah, but we don't have a budget like they do...:-)))") If you've ever faced someone difficult, perhaps notes from a recent sermon at our church ( www.pccsc.org ) might help: Don't retaliate - Let go of your pride - Devalue your "rights" - Don't call it quits - Don't write them off - Care for their needs, not deeds - Bring them to God.  At the end of the day, we're all just people... aren't we?

Matthew 7:12 12) So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
